I have been a Certified Hypnotherapist and a Certified Sexological Bodyworker for about 5 years now. Initially, my business focused on assisting people with sexual issues as well as helping people enhance their erotic lives, no matter their age, health, physical challenges. As I have worked with more clients and taken referrals from them, I have expanded my focus in many directions. “Rosalynn”, a 68-year old hairdresser, hadn’t been sexually active for many years. She explained to me, her body was feeling numb. She was no longer able to orgasm, even during masturbation, which had never been a problem for her before. She was feeling frustrated.
She hinted at other issues but declined to discuss them over the phone during our initial consultation. When she arrived in my office a few days later, we had a more in-depth conversation as part of the intake process where deeper truths revealed themselves.
For the past twelve years, Rosalynn has been the sole breadwinner and caretaker for her terminally ill husband. The stress and anxiety was taking its toll on her. But perhaps more pertinent to her condition, she carried a lot of anger towards her partner for past infidelities and other relationship issues.
His condition was worsening and he was not expected to live much longer. Despite her anger, she was determined to care for her husband at home as long as it was feasible. She felt resigned to the coming loss and was hoping to be able to rejoin the living, including being sexual again. She wanted to feel pleasure in her body as she used to. She’d read that Sexological Bodywork could help people connect with their bodies and learn to feel more pleasure. She wanted to try it – to do something for herself.
Before doing any hands-on work with a client, I teach them Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent. Many people have trouble establishing boundaries, asking for what they want, and understanding when they can say no. Betty Martin’s Wheel has become the gold standard worldwide for teaching consent for people of all ages and is an invaluable tool for understanding the dynamics of touch. Afterwards, Rosalynn reported that learning the Wheel had completely changed how she viewed her marriage and the decisions she had made. She understood better how she had participated in much of the dysfunctional behavior during her marriage. She recognized that it wasn’t all her husband’s fault and this helped her make peace with much of what had transpired.
Next, we needed to dispel some of the stress, anxiety, and anger she was feeling. During the intake process, she recounted a trip they had made to California, and a visit to the Redwood Forest. It was the last trip they had been able to take before her husband’s illness made travel impossible. Visiting the redwoods had been a meaningful, spiritual experience for her and she thought about it often.
In a deep hypnotic trance, I was able to take her back to the “Avenue of the Giants.” She was able to walk among the trees, touch them, draw strength and wisdom from them. Before bringing her out, I gave her a post-hypnotic suggestion that when we did bodywork, she would be more focused, more present in her body, able to feel the pleasurable sensations much more intensely that ever before.
As she came out of trance, she said she could smell the forest, feel the breeze blowing through the trees. It was vivid and real to her as when she was there.
The next day, I received an email from her. She said the bodywork and trance had been a powerful experience for her, and had both reawakened her to the pleasures of her body, and also seemed to lift a great weight off her shoulders, dissolving much of the stress she’d been feeling.
During the next session, at her request, we did the bodywork while she was in trance, among the redwoods – smelling the fragrance of the forest, feeling the gentle breeze on her skin, with the giants witness to her awakening. For her, it was a powerful experience of spiritual sensuality,
After several similar sessions, Rosalynn felt more at peace with the past, calmer with her situation, and stronger in facing the work of caring for her husband. She felt more alive in her body and hopeful for the future. She was able to orgasm once again and fully enjoy it. I taught her self-hypnosis and she began to make it a daily practice, helping her deal with life’s challenges and making her feel she had more control of her life.
Most of my clients come to me, having already exhausted all other avenues for help. Many feel broken, often hopeless. For them, it’s incredibly healing just to be able to share their feelings with a loving presence; someone who listens and provides a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss their most personal concerns. “Karl”, a successful, healthy, 72-year old businessman seemed to have it all. He was wealthy, with homes in New York and Germany. He was well-educated and world-traveled, and had had relationships with many beautiful, intelligent women.
But Karl had an unhappy secret: he’d been suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED) and low sexual desire for nearly four years. He’d seen doctors in New York and in Europe who’d prescribed the usual pills and medications, which had done nothing to improve his condition and in fact, only made him feel sick. He’d been to various alternative practitioners but none of them were able to help him either. He'd had always enjoyed a robust sex life and his current problem made him feel like less of a man, less himself. He was depressed, imagining life without sex.
After an initial phone consultation, he agreed to visit me in my office the following week. I did a thorough intake, asking him detailed questions about his health, medications, relationships, sexual history, etc. I then took him into a deep, relaxing hypnotic trance. Using the info he’d provided, I led him through and helped him remove the blockages that were interfering with his performance. I called on his unconscious mind to establish greater control over his physical responses.
Once out of trance, we spend some time discussing the experience from his perspective. He was a bit disappointed because he didn’t feel any different. I assured him that sometimes it takes a few hours or even a few days, for the mind to process and install the changes. I asked him to let me know how he felt the next day.
The next morning there was an enthusiastic email waiting for me. By the time he got home from our session, he said, he’d become incredibly aroused. It was the biggest, hardest erection he’d had in years! He masturbated to a wonderfully satisfying orgasm.
He was amazed and incredulous. How could I have resolved his issue in just one session that all the doctors and practitioners hadn’t been able to do in four years? And his problem seems to be permanently gone!
At least 40% of women and 30% of men have a sexual dysfunction or issue. That number increases for people in their 50s, 60s, and older. It’s estimated that at least two thirds of these cases have a psychological or emotional cause. Traditional treatments take a one size fits all approach, often with prescription drugs that have many harmful side effects. Or perhaps they take the path of talk therapy, which may help the client understand the roots of the problem without solving it. Most doctors and therapists have little training in sexuality and don’t have the time or interest to help patients explore options beyond established protocols. I’m able to work holistically, addressing the problem physically, mentally, and emotionally and always with compassion.

Preparation

Before the Session
I do my pre-meditation to find out the main reasons for your writer's block. (This happens psychically, where I generally just need your name, but a picture can help, too.)
It may be as simple as a deep rooted belief that once you write from your heart and really put your honest thoughts and fantacies out there, you will be harshly judged, not understood, criticised, unappreciated, ridiculed, laughed at, so on and so forth. It may have its origin in a trauma you have experienced in this life time or more than one lifetime. It could be a karmic cycle you're going through and maybe it's not the first life, where you struggle to be your true self and to express yourself freely.
Perhaps, it could be a belief that no matter how hard you try, you can never create a really good piece of writing. Perhaps, it's an issue of completing something. Perhaps, concerns over money and writing what sells (and not what is close to heart) that's the problem.
The above are just examples. I would need to meditate to see what your unique situation is.
Reading Part of the Session
In this part, I will let you know what I saw in my visions when I pre-meditated on your writer's block.
Healing Part of the Session
We will discuss the reading part of the session and wil find what traumas / reasons / habits / beliefs / etc. are available for healing. We may find the specific events, decisions or promises you made in the past that need to be revisited and changes made. With your permission, I will perform shamanic healing for those particular birth places of the limiting beliefs, fears and hurts that lie at the heart of why you are experiencing your writer's block.
This kind of healing is not only good for critical instances, where help is needed. If you are not experiencing writer's block at this time, this kind of healing can reveal issues you would benefit from healing and clearing to become even better at what you do, do release any fears, judgements, beliefs, limitation that may be hindering your writing at this time.
The goal of this healing session is to get you to feel safe and comfortable being your true authentic self, making your authentic decisions and taking bold steps in the persuit of freely and openly expressing your true self in a unique way, and doing it with pleasure, joy and peace.
